We decided to analyse the lyrics of the song to get ideas as to what scenes we wanted for the narrative portions of our video.
We all interpreted the lyrics differently so in the end we decided to not have the typical relationship style narrative because we thought it had been done a lot of times before and we wanted something different. We decided to twist the lyrics "should I settle for less/you're good but I want the best" to convey celebrity life and decided to deconstruct celebrity culture in that sense.
